Great game! It makes me want to keep playing to see all the different ways the basic mechanic is explored.

Awesome new riff on the replay mechanic! I especially loved that you tied it to the cooperative platformer (a la Lost Vikings) mechanics. Lost Vikings was a big inspiration to Chronotron as well. I played through the whole thing in one sitting and really enjoyed it! Excellent storyline too. Forcing the player to sacrifice the woman in the flashback was inspired!

But I'm sad you had to change it from its original storyline. It was really interesting and emotional way to experience the aftermath of a real-life event. =(

Yay! A game with metacommentary on games! Of course you may have failed to support your premise that gameplay is more important than upgrade systems. The gameplay in the game is pretty weak, but for some reason I had a hell of a lot of fun playing Upgrade Complete. It turns out upgrade systems are fun on their own! I guess that's what makes "The Sims" so popular? Gameplay is only weak, it's not anti-fun by being too hard for no good reason. I was expecting something to shoot back at some point though =). Anyway, great commentary, but upgrade systems are fun because they are their own metagame. I'm not just saying this because I'm working on a game called MetaGame that includes an extensive upgrade system ;)

Not only is the core mechanic loads of fun, but Spewer has a very polished UI and (most importantly) excellent level-design. What a great puzzle-platformer!
